Camera Movement
Whip Pans
Are used to heightened the energy shots . In the movie La La Land the whip pan is used to show the relationship between characters Sebastian and Mia.
Push In
The push in shot moves the camera towards the subject, this creates emphasis in the scene and allows the audience to understand what's happening in the scene is important. Push in can also be used on objects to show the audience important details. For instance in the Godfather when Michael is going to Sollozzo the camera pushes in to emphasis what's about to happen.
Arc Shot
The arc shot is a camera movement that moves around a object or person. The arc shot is usually a horizontal shot but it can be a vertical shot. Arc shots can add movement even when characters are standing still. For instance in the movie Avengers they use an arc shot to show unity with all six members and how they will stand together against the evil.
